The original Golf MK1 glove box latch is over 40 years old and made of brittle plastic — snapped tabs and broken catches are extremely common. Genuine OEM replacements are long discontinued and nearly impossible to find. This PETG reproduction is modelled to the original dimensions and clips into the existing housing without drilling or cutting.

Is any modification required for installation?
No. The latch clips directly into the original housing without any cutting, trimming or modification.
