"Hella-style" covers the clip-in round lens covers used across a handful of period-correct quad-light and dual-round setups — Golf MK3 GTI/16V/VR6 on one side, BMW E30 on the other. Different housings, same failure mode: the cover crazes, yellows or cracks well before the sealed-beam unit behind it does.
Where the two setups differ
The Golf MK3 dual-round cover clips into a slightly shallower housing than the E30's, and the retaining lip sits at a different angle. We keep separate models for each rather than a "universal" part, because a half-millimetre off on the lip is the difference between a cover that clips flush and one that sits proud at one edge.

What we print them in
PETG as standard — clear enough optically for a cover (not a lens), UV-stable, and it takes light sanding and polish if you want a final clarity pass. We don't recommend ABS here; it yellows faster under headlamp heat than PETG does.
What to check before you order
- Housing diameter, measured at the outer lip, not the visible glass — a millimetre matters more here than on most trim parts.
- Mounting style — clip-in vs a retaining ring — since some earlier cars used a different fixing than the one we model as standard.
- Whether you want it polished or as-printed. As-printed has a very light layer texture that's invisible at driving distance; polished costs more and takes longer.

Send the make, model and year, plus a photo of the empty housing if you have one. If your setup isn't one of the two above, tell us the housing diameter and we'll confirm whether it's a straightforward adaptation.
